SUGAR RUSH 5K & 1-MILE
The Sugar Rush 5K and 1-Mile is annually hosted by a local school or non-profit organization within Pointe Coupee Parish. With a full volunteer staff, all proceeds directly benefit a project or program of the benefitting school. Below are a handful of projects that were made possible by our 5K!
Ted David Playground
An 80' x 40' playground space with 6 swings, a large play structure, and 2 handicap accessible components at Rougon Elementary. This is the first playground structure on the campus.

Two Outdoor Classrooms
Elementary and middle school outdoor learning areas conducive to learning, gathering, and lunchtime at Rougon Elementary.
STEM Playground
A playground structure at STEM built in 2019, making it the first playground on campus.
SUGAR RUSH 5K & 1-MILE COURSE MAPS
The Sugar Rush 5K and 1-Mile takes place on the Saturday morning of Harvest Festival weekend at 9:00AM. Race location is at 211 West Main St., New Roads, LA. Parking is available at the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board Office (337 Napoleon St., New Roads, LA 70760). Please refer to registration site for additional details.
